Hi, my name is Kathy Bell and I am the founder of New Groove Music Studio. If you are a musician who has a passion and desire to share music with others and inspire the next generation of music lovers, I want to connect with you!!

To apply for a Teaching Artist position, send an email to me at info@newgroovemusicstudio.com. Include your resume (PDF or link), list any prior teaching experience (although prior experience is not required), and a brief message/cover letter telling me why you want to share music with others through Teaching Artistry. Who We Are

The New Groove Teaching Artists are a team of passionate and talented musicians who use our creative voices to positively impact students to grow in their skill and passion for music.

All of our teaching artists are highly trained musicians, active performers, and passionate about creating positive change in music.

How We Teach

New Groove specializes in music education for students ages 3 – adult! We offer private lessons, group classes, masterclasses, community outreach, and performance experiences. We offer in-studio lessons, in-home lesson, and virtual lessons in both Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. 

We teach music by encouraging student’s creativity and exploration. We customize our lessons to the needs of each student to best support them!

The Teaching Artist community is at the heart of New Groove’s foundation! We care deeply about our TA’s experiences making music with us and have structured our working environment to reflect that!

Job Reqs

Teaching Artists must be highly trained in their instrument, have excellent communication skills, be punctual, work well with others, have teaching availability in their schedule, and be excited about working with students who range from complete beginner to advanced in their instrument. Prior private teaching experience is appreciated, but not required – New Groove will provided any training necessary.
